Beijing Internet Penetration Reaches 61%

Beijing Municipal Bureau of Industrial Development deputy director Li Hong has reported that Beijing had 10.37 mln internet users by the end of June, accounting for 61% of the city’s population, the highest ratio in China. Percentages of Beijing internet users that shop, make payments, trade stocks, and make travel reservations online were respectively 35%, 28%, 15% and 10%, significantly higher than the national average.
