Every website that’s been around more than about 15 minutes has moved a page from one URL to another. The redirect is the way to leave the forwarding address from the old URL. In Chapter 7, we discuss the different types of redirects and how to use redirects properly. The following tools are effective not only to test a single redirect but also multiple redirects.
URI Valet
URI Valet is both an extremely powerful and straightforward tool that clearly shows you your redirects, and is especially helpful for detecting multiple redirects.
Live HTTP Headers
Live HTTP Headers is a Firefox Browser Plugin that monitors all of the headers for any call during the load of a page. It also allows you to export the responses as a text file.
